Application Instructions
Surface Preparation
Concrete must be at least 21 days old or have less than 6% moisture. Clean the surface of debris, loose material, water, oil, or contaminants. Blasting is recommended to achieve a CSP-3 to CSP-5 profile. Fill cracks and surface irregularities with Estobond EC Epoxy Putty before applying primer. For metal substrates, repair weld seams, remove sharp edges, and ensure rust-free steel. Perform blast cleaning to Sa 2½ (ISO 8501-1:2007).
Primer Application
Apply primer on sound, dry concrete at ambient or substrate temperatures of ≥10°C. Use Estogard CS primer for high traffic, Estoflex PU 980 for normal traffic, and Estogard CS for steel, PVC, and galvanized surfaces. Degrease aluminum; no primer needed. Ensure surface temperature is 3°C above dew point. Apply primer by roller at 0.20-0.30 kg/m², allowing it to become touch-dry before applying Estoflex Solar 801H.
Body Coat Application (Spraying)
Mix Part B AMINE at 300-400 RPM for 10 minutes until homogeneous. Avoid air entrapment and never dilute. Estoflex Solar is spray-applied using a plural-component proportioner with heated components at 65 ± 10°C. Apply in 2 mm layers using a crosshatch spray pattern with at least two passes. Minimum overcoating time is 10-15 minutes. Specialized fillers and fibers can be added via a modified spray gun.
Top Coat Application (Optional)
Apply the topcoat when the surface is dry, ideally at temperatures between 20-35°C. Use a medium-hard rubber squeegee to apply a 0.2 mm thick layer on the Polyurea surface. Lightly back-roll with a roller to remove any squeegee lines and achieve a uniform finish. Allow the topcoat to dry for approximately 6 hours at 20°C. For an anti-slip effect, a sand broadcast system can be used.
