Description
Estopatch RSP is a blend of dry powders and graded aggregates that, when mixed with water on-site, forms a highly consistent, high-strength repair concrete. It self-compacts and contains inorganic cements, special fillers, and additives to control strength gain. Estopatch RSP is thermally compatible and offers good water repellency. It can be used at a nominal thickness of 100 mm, with thicker sections up to 300 mm achievable by adding graded big aggregate (split).
Estopatch RSP : 30 kg/ bag
Estobond AR/ Estobond SBR : 20 kg/ pail
Estocure P : 20 kg/pail
Estopatch RSP : 15.2 litre per bag depending on water addition (0.74 m2 at 20 mm thickness)
Estobond AR : 4 – 6 m2/ L dependingon porosity of substrate
Estocure P : 5m2/ L
Estop offers a comprehensive range of high performance, high quality of product for both new and existing concrete surfaces. In addition, the company offers a technical support package to specifiers, end-users and contractors, as well as on-site technical assistance.
Estopatch RSP have a shelf life of 12 months, and should be stored on pallets in dry conditions. Under these conditions, the product will have a shelf life of 6 months.
Application Instruction
Preparation
Saw cut repair edges to a depth of at least 30 mm for a square edge and to prevent feathering. Break out the repair area to a minimum depth of 30 mm up to the sawn edges. Apply the material at a minimum thickness of 30 mm. Clean the surface thoroughly to remove dust, oil, paint, and grease.
Priming
Before placement, saturate the prepared concrete substrate with clean water. Just before applying Estopatch RSP, remove excess water, leaving the substrate fully saturated. Apply Estobond AR primer to the surface. Estopatch RSP can be applied as soon as the primer becomes tacky.
Mixing
Mixing in a suitability sized drum using an approved spiral paddle in a speed (>600 rpm) heavy duty drill is acceptable. Measure 3.7 to 4.0 litres of water and Add one full 30 kg bag of Estopatch RSP and Mix for a further 2 to 3 minutes until a smooth even consistency is obtained.
Placing
Place the mixed material within 10 minutes for optimal fluidity. Finish repairs with a trowel or wood float; for a textured surface, use a roller or brush as the material stiffens. Estopatch RSP can be applied up to 100 mm thick in one go. For deeper repairs, mix with graded aggregate to control temperature rise. Aggregate should be saturated and not exceed 1 part to 1 part Estopatch RSP by weight. Use a vibrating poker for placement. In temperatures above 30°C, store in shade and use cool water for mixing.
