Description
Estorex EPS is a solvent free epoxy resin grout designed for grouting gap widths of 10 to 75 mm. It is supplied as three component system consisting of base, hardener, and specially graded aggregate. The components are supplied in the correct mix proportions designed for whole pack mixing on site.
9.9 L / 20 Kg Set
20 kg Set ( Filler 16 kg + Base 3.2 kg + Hard 0.8 kg)
• Excellent durability- high compressive, flexural
and tensile strengths ensure a long working life.
• Cost effective – high early strength gain promotes
minimum downtime and early commissioning of
plant.
• User friendly- simple full pack mixing to ensure
that the performance characteristics are
achieved.
• Versatile- suitable for a wide range of loading
situations including repetitive dynamic loads.
• Excellent in service performance- non shrink
capability ensured full surface to surface contact.
Application Instructions
Preparations
Minimize grout surface area. Maintain gaps between formwork and plate edge to 75 mm on one side and 25 mm on the other. Tighten formwork against the plate edge and provide air pressure relief holes for high spots.
Formwork
Ensure formwork is leak-proof for Estorex EPS, a free-flow grout, using foam rubber strips or mastic sealant between joints. For proper grout flow, maintain a hydrostatic head using a feeding hopper. Contact your local Estop office for details.
Foundation surface
This must be free from oil, grease, or any loosely adherent material. If the concrete surface is defective or has laitance, it must be cut back to a sound base. Bolt holes or fixing pockets must be blown clean of any dirt or debris.
Base plate
Apply Estop zinc-rich primer to the underside & edges of steel base plates to prevent rust and ensure bonding with Estorex EPS grout if there is likely delay before placement. Clean all metal surfaces to a bright finish per Swedish standard SA 2 1⁄2 or equivalent. Estop Primer applied directly to newly cleaned steel, even if damp.
Mixing
Pour the base into a 20L bucket, add the hardener, and stir manually with a spatula / stir paddle for about 30 seconds until well mixed. Add the filler / aggregate & mix for a total of 2-3 minutes until uniform in color and the filler is completely wetted. Allow to sit for 30 seconds to release air. Use the mixed material within the specified pot life.
Hot Weather grouting
Take special care when grouting at high temperatures to prevent premature hardening and cracking. If the grout temperature exceeds 32°C, cool the sealed pails in ice or with water-soaked burlap until it reaches 25°C. Shade from direct sunlight for 24 hours before and 48 hours after grouting is essential.
Placing
Ensure the grout is placed within its pot life on a dry substrate. Maintain continuous flow from one side to eliminate air and keep a hydrostatic head for continuous grouting.
Storage
Store Estorex EPS in a dry, covered place. It has a shelf life of 12 months in an unopened container below 30°C, but high heat may shorten this.
Precaution
Estorex EPS is contains epoxy resin which may cause skin sensitization in certain individuals. skin contact shall be avoided. Wear gloves and protective clothing.
