Advantages
• Adheres to fabric and primer concrete substrates – Allows fast creation of true composite with the concrete.
• Solvent free – Low VOC and non-shrink
• Pre-proportioned packaging – No job site errors
• Easy application – Low viscosity penetrates fabric easily.
• Cures hard at low temperatures – Wide application range
EstoWrap Resin
Hardener 5 kg Base 10 kg
EstoWrap Resin 1.2 kg/m2 /2 coats
EstoWrap Resin can be stored in tightly closed original containers for 12 months at moderate temperature.
Application
Surface preparation
Clean the surface thoroughly to remove grease, oil, dust, curing compound, mold release agent, or other contaminants. Remove laitance by light sweep blasting, hydro-jetting, or mechanical wire brushing for smaller areas. Cut back spalled concrete to sound concrete and remove conventional curing compounds before repairs.
Mixing
Proportion part kits accurately mixing only what can be used in less than 30 minutes. Thoroughly stir Part Base, and add Hardener and blend thoroughly using a slow speed (300-600rpm) mixer fitted with a suitable paddle.
Priming
Thoroughly mix EstoWrap Primer components. Pour hardener into a suitable mixing vessel, add the base resin, and use a heavy-duty, slow-speed drill with a mixing paddle. Ensure all containers are cleaned. Apply the primer to the prepared substrate using a stiff brush at 0.3 kg/m². Apply a second coat if the surface is very porous.
Sheet Preparation
Remove the release paper from the FRP sheet and roll it with an impregnation roller in a direction parallel to the fibers in the sheet. After 30 minutes of the impregnation and within 3 hours, apply a second coat of EstoWrap Resin at a coverage rate of 0.6 kg/m2 to completely encapsulate EstoWrap/Estoglass Sheet.
Application of EstoWrap Resin
Apply the first coat of fully mixed EstoWrap Resin to primed concrete using a roller or brush. Place the FRP sheet and roll it in the longitudinal direction of the fibers two or three times using a deforming roller and rubber spatula to impregnate the resin. Overlap adjoining strips of fiber sheet by 15cm and apply additional resin at the overlap location on top of the outer layer of fiber sheet. Apply the second coat of EstoWrap Resin, ensuring total saturation of the FRP sheet. Repeat for additional layers of fiber sheet. For plaster protection, dry-shake fine quartz grains for improved bond strength.
